Xi Gamma Lambda Chapter is a dedicated and active participant in all state, regional, and national activities of the Fraternity. With a current membership of 30 Brothers based in Beaufort County, South Carolina, the Chapter represents the true spirit of the Fraternity’s values and principles.
The AIMS of our Fraternity, “Manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind,” are not merely superficial words. Instead, they serve as a guiding principle for us to live by. As members of the Xi Gamma Lambda Chapter, they endeavor to embody these values daily and positively impact our community.
Xi Gamma Lambda is an outstanding Alpha Phi Alpha Inc. Fraternity member, displaying a deep passion and unwavering dedication to its mission and purposes. The chapter actively engages in various National Programs, demonstrating a solid commitment to community service through initiatives such as Project Alpha/March of Dimes, A Voteless People is a Hopeless People and the Brother’s Keeper program. But their efforts extend far beyond these programs. Xi Gamma Lambda proudly operates the Alpha Academy, a mentoring program for young males, provides food baskets to those in need, and awards scholarships to deserving students. In addition, the chapter hosts an Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast each year, which brings the community together in celebration of Dr. King’s legacy. Xi Gamma Lambda is a shining example of how a dedicated group of individuals can significantly impact when they come together to serve their community.
The chapter takes great pride in contributing to the local community by actively participating in various events such as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade, the Memorial Day Parade, the Beaufort Pan-Hellenic Council and its functions, the Carae’s Lowcountry Modeling presentations, the Beaufort County Youth Conference, and the Gullah Festival. In addition to their participation, we also donate to and support other community-based organizations and educational, political, and social entities. The brothers believe their contributions positively impact and help build a stronger, more united community.
For 31 years, the Xi Gamma Lambda Chapter has remained committed to upholding the core values of brotherhood. As a distinguished chapter of the esteemed Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., we have consistently maintained our pledge of being “First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All.”
This is just a summary of their work, including some of their achievements. Their many accomplishments are a testament to their unwavering dedication to making a positive impact, and they will continue to move forward in their mission to serve and elevate the communities they serve.
